Bigg Boss 20 witnessed a dramatic turn of events after wildcard contestants Nakul Dhull and Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, got into a physical altercation inside the house. Their argument quickly escalated, prompting fellow contestants to intervene and separate the two. The incident sparked speculation about Nakul’s future on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. According to several reports, the social media influencer may have been asked to leave the house following the clash. A promo for the upcoming episode also hinted at possible action against him, with Bigg Boss reportedly reprimanding the contestants over the violation of the show’s rules. However, an official confirmation from the makers regarding Nakul’s eviction is awaited. Nakul had entered the house as a wildcard contestant just days before the altercation.

Is Nakul Dhull evicted from Bigg Boss 20 or not?

Nakul Dhull has reportedly been spared eviction from Bigg Boss 20 despite his physical altercation with Gullu. According to India Forums, a source close to the show revealed that the makers have decided to take away one of Nakul’s lives instead of sending him home. The decision is reportedly in line with this season’s Tathastu theme, which gives contestants a chance to continue their journey despite setbacks. Nakul has allegedly been issued a strict warning that any repeat of such behaviour could result in his immediate eviction. However, the makers have not officially confirmed the development.

Meanwhile, following the physical altercation between Nakul and Kushal, the latter’s team issued a strongly worded statement demanding action against the Bigg Boss 20 wildcard contestant. Referring to Nakul as a “goon”, the team called for his immediate eviction from Salman Khan’s reality show. A part of the statement read, “Bigg Boss is a show, not a place where people should be allowed to threaten or physically attack others. Gullu did not enter the show to be treated like this, where someone could allegedly come in with a plan to target him and get physical with him. This kind of behaviour should have serious consequences.”

Bigg Boss 20: Nakul Dhull not evicted after physical fight with Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu?

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are set to reunite on the big screen after 18 years with their upcoming film Haiwaan. Directed by Priyadarshan, the thriller is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, and its advance bookings have already begun.

Akshay and Saif were last seen together in the 2008 action-comedy Tashan. Their reunion, along with Akshay stepping into a negative role, has created curiosity around the film.

However, with Hanuman Ansh continuing its strong run and Mirzapur also drawing audiences, the film will have to fight for prime screens and audience attention.

Haiwaan Day 1 Box Office Prediction

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala believes Haiwaan could cross Rs 5 crore on its opening day.

"Looking at the advance bookings, Haiwaan could open in the Rs 6-8 crore nett range. The Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan reunion gives it curiosity value, but spot bookings and word of mouth will be crucial in pushing the Day 1 number higher," he told NDTV.

He expects the film to benefit from the reunion and Priyadarshan's direction.

"Haiwaan has the ingredients for a healthy opening weekend, particularly with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reuniting under Priyadarshan. If the audience response is positive, the film should see good growth from Saturday and could put together a solid weekend total - Rs 30 crore nett."

Trade Analyst Sumit Kadel, meanwhile, has a slightly lower opening-day estimate. He expects the film to collect around Rs 5-7 crore nett on Day 1.

"I am expecting Haiwaan to open in the range of Rs 5-7 crore nett. The film is a dark thriller, not a massy commercial entertainer, so its weekend business will largely depend on audience reception," he told us.

Can Haiwaan Compete With Hanuman Ansh?

The film will arrive at a time when Hanuman Ansh is enjoying a strong run at the box office. However, Ramesh Bala does not expect the two films to directly clash for the same audience.

"Hanuman Ansh continuing its strong run could take away some screens and audience share, but it shouldn't significantly hurt Haiwaan if the latter connects with viewers. Ultimately, strong content can coexist at the box office, and word of mouth will decide how well Haiwaan holds."

Sumit Kadel also feels that Hanuman Ansh and Haiwaan cater to different audiences. However, the strong performance of Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur could make the fight for screens tougher.

"Hanuman Ansh has a very different target audience, so I don't expect Haiwaan to impact its run, just like Mirzapur hasn't affected it. However, Haiwaan will definitely find it challenging to get prime showcasing due to the superb run of both Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur."

Akshay Kumar's Negative Role Is A Major Attraction

One of the biggest talking points around Haiwaan is Akshay Kumar's character. The actor will be seen playing a negative role, giving audiences a chance to see him in a darker avatar.

Ramesh Bala believes this could work strongly in the film's favour.

"Seeing Akshay Kumar in a negative role adds an element of unpredictability to Haiwaan and could be one of its biggest attractions. Audiences have seen him across genres, but this darker avatar offers something different and, if the character is well written, it could work strongly in the film's favour."

Sumit Kadel is even more direct about Akshay's character being the film's biggest selling point.

"Without a doubt, Akshay Kumar playing a negative character is the biggest selling point of Haiwaan."

Weekend Business Will Depend On Word Of Mouth

Sumit Kadel expects Haiwaan to collect around Rs 25-30 crore nett over its opening weekend. He believes the number could go higher if the film receives a strong response.

"I am expecting the film to collect around Rs 25-30 Cr nett over the weekend, with potential to go higher if it receives a tremendous positive response."

For Ramesh Bala, the Akshay-Saif reunion provides the initial curiosity, but it will be the film's content that determines its long-term box office journey.

"The Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan reunion definitely adds nostalgia and curiosity, especially for audiences who remember their earlier films together. It can give Haiwaan an initial push, but beyond the first-day excitement, the film will ultimately need strong content and word of mouth to sustain."

Haiwaan also stars Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, Sharib Hashmi, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi.

The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

Source:- NDTV Movies

Mirzapur day 1 box office collection: Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu movie records Rs 3.18 crore opening-day collection

Actress Kayadu Lohar has revealed that she sat next to Rajinikanth on a flight without knowing it was him, and spent the entire journey pretending to be asleep out of nervousness.

In an interview with Galatta Plus, Kayadu recounted her encounter with Rajinikanth. “I was on a flight, seated on the other side of the aisle next to two men in a cramped seat. A woman on the aisle seat next to what turned out to be an empty middle seat offered to switch. I accepted without knowing who was in the window seat next to her. As I switched, I didn’t even look at that person. I was like, sir, can you just pick up your AirPod. And then later on I got to know that Rajinikanth had booked that seat, so that no one can sit next to him because he’s usually travelling and people might intervene in his personal space,” the actress recalled.

When she finally turned and realised it was Rajinikanth, she froze. “I just couldn’t hold myself. I was very conscious and nervous. I was like, oh my God, what did I do, I just sat on this seat,” she said. What followed was an entire flight of internal panic. “I acted like I was sleeping but I was not sleeping. The whole flight I was just like this.”

Before landing, Kayadu Lohar did something she later called “a very stupid thing.” She called director Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu, while still seated next to Rajinikanth. “I told him I’m sitting right next to Rajinikanth sir. What do I say? I’m so nervous. Should I tell him that I worked with you,” she narrated. The actress even asked him to stay on video call in case Rajinikanth did not believe her.

After landing, she gathered the courage to introduce herself. She told Rajinikanth she had worked with Ashwath Marimuthu in Dragon. “I don’t think he knows me but he said, ‘Oh, you look very different. You look pretty,'” she recalled.

On shooting with Suriya

Currently, Kayadu Lohar is shooting with Suriya. Talking about her experience working with the actor, she said, “I was so intimidated on the first day of shoot with Suriya. It’s been four days since we started to shoot and I’m still intimidated. So I’m just finding my way to be calm and just perform.”

Kayadu described the experience of acting opposite Suriya as a form of “healthy competition” that pushes her to raise her own game. “When Suriya is on screen, it’s very difficult to take your eyes off him. So I really want to match up to that. That’s the only thing I keep in my mind. I have to give my best shot so that it matches up,” she said.

On acting with Dulquer Salmaan

On the sets of her latest film I’m Game, Kayadu Lohar said what struck her most about Dulquer Salmaan was not his acting but his restraint as a producer. She said Dulquer, who produced the film under Wayfarer Films, deliberately stepped back from creative decisions and let director Nahas Hidhayath run the set without interference.

“He is also producing the film, so playing both parts on a film set is not easy. But what I saw was that he was very relaxed about it. He gave the space to the director. The director is the captain of the ship, and Dulquer does not try to intervene,” she said.

Kayadu recounted a specific moment where Dulquer had a different idea about how a particular scene should be shot. “I asked him, ‘You are the producer of the film. You should say what you feel.’ to which he told me, ‘No, the director is very convinced and very firm about what he wants. I do not want to be that person who overrides him. If he is that sure and confident about it, I can keep the producer part and even the actor part on the side and just follow my director’s vision. That is what I signed up for,'” she recalled.

“A person like Dulquer, at the position he is in, to have that kind of mindset is not easy. That is what I took from him,” the actress added.

As an actor, Kayadu Lohar said Dulquer Salmaan’s ability to switch between registers instantly left her impressed. “He will be sitting there, completely relaxed, chilling, and then immediately there is a scene where he switches into a completely different person. That switch is really fascinating to watch,” she said.

The romantic-action drama, which opened to decent reviews, crossed Rs 80 crore in its opening weekend. After a slight dip in collections on Monday, the film earned Rs 9.75 crore on Tuesday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s net domestic total now stands at Rs 100.75 cr. The film has earned Rs 144.13 crore worldwide.

The first film in the franchise, Awarapan, released in 2007 and was a box-office failure. However, the Mohit Suri directorial, which also starred Emraan Hashmi, went on to gain cult status over the years. Awarapan 2, however, has become a historic film for Emraan Hashmi as this is now the first solo film in his 18 year career that has entered the Rs 100 cr club.

Along with Emraan Hashmi, Awarapan 2 also stars Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Aniruddh Rawal, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar in key roles. The film has been directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films.

Source:- Indianexpress

Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 5 Updates: Emraan Hashmi film to cross Rs 150 cr worldwide today

MUMBAI: Actor John Abraham, one of the most prolific investors in Mumbai’s real estate, has purchased a bungalow in Bandra West for a reported Rs 84 crore.

The bungalow, built in 1926, is owned by a Parsi family, the DeVitres, and is in a quiet lane called St Martin Road that connects Bandra’s landmark Turner Road to the bustling Hill Road.

It has a nondescript name: 20, St Martin Road. It has four bedrooms, a large hall, a garden with fruit-bearing trees and an outhouse.

Does the actor plan to redevelop the property? “He has no such plans. He just loved the place,’’ said a person aware of the transaction.

Fredun DeVitre, co-owner of the property, told TOI: “The children have settled abroad, and they essentially wanted us to settle things now.

The family was not keen on selling it to a developer, who would tear it down and build a tower.”

In Dec 2023, Abraham purchased a bungalow on Linking Road, Khar, for Rs 75 crore.

The property, 372 Nirmal Bhavan, is a ground-plus-two storey structure, which belonged to Pravin Nathalal Shah and family.

The plot is located in a prime area of Linking Road, which commands one of the highest commercial property rates in the city.

Abraham is one of several Bollywood personalities who have heavily invested in real estate.

In 2009, he bought a prime plot at Union Park near Petit School in Bandra West from a Parsi family, the Rattanshas.

Property experts said many Bollywood celebrities invest in real estate, including luxury apartments, villas and commercial spaces for personal or investment reasons.

Some have launched their own real estate firms or partnered with existing developers to create housing projects, resorts or other real estate ventures.

Others have also forayed into interior design and home decor businesses.

Property market and film industry sources said leading celebrities invest in residential and commercial projects or buy sprawling penthouses, row houses and bungalows for personal use.

The preferred locations are in the suburb between Bandra and Andheri.

John Abraham buys 100-year-old Bandra bungalow for Rs 84 crore; 'no redevelopment plans'

PUNE: The social media posts that have surfaced in recent days show Ketan Vishal Agarwal smiling beside his fiancée at a birthday celebration, dancing with friends and planning trips abroad.

Behind the headlines surrounding the Lohagad murder case was a 26-year-old entrepreneur whose family says he was looking forward to marriage and expanding the family business.

A resident of Gahunje in Pune district, Ketan was a director and chief marketing officer at Success Group, the family-run real-estate firm.

He had completed a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and was actively involved in expanding the business alongside his family.

According to his family, Ketan had travel plans lined up and was looking ahead to his wedding later this year. He and Siya Goyal got engaged in February after both families agreed to the match.

The engagement marked the beginning of what appeared to be a close relationship between the two families.

Ketan's father has said the family had known Goyal's family for for 35-40 years and never suspected anything was out of place.

Goyal frequently visited their home and joined them for family outings, dinners and shopping trips.

According to Ketan's father, four people, including the couple, were scheduled to travel to Bali earlier this month.

However, the trip did not happen as Ketan's passport was allegedly stolen at the airport.

Just days before his death, Ketan appeared in a birthday celebration video with his fiancée that has since gone viral.

The clip showed the couple smiling, dancing and cutting a cake as friends recorded the moment.

What was initially believed to be an accidental fall at Lohagad Fort on June 18 later turned into a murder investigation.

Police have alleged that Ketan was pushed into a gorge as part of a conspiracy involving his fiancée and her friend.

"If she didn't want to get married, she could have simply refused; we would have cancelled the wedding immediately," Ketan's father said recently.

As police continue their investigation, Ketan's family continues to cope with the loss of a son who had recently got engaged and was preparing for the next chapter of his life.

What remains are memories, photographs and videos of a future that was taken away too soon.

Source:- The Times of India
